Preparations of Focus series are designed to maintain eye health and prevent unwanted changes of vision. The preparation formula is based on recommendations from expert ophthalmologists. In particular, it was noted that natural vision requires bilberry anthocyanins and lutein. While the majority of preparation include only one of these components, the preparations of Focus series, contain both the bilberry extract, and lutein. The formula also takes into account that eyes not only require the complete set of nutrients, but also certain amount of them.
Focus and Focus Forte preparation contain a balanced amount of anthocyanins, carotenoids and other micronutrients essential for eyes.
Use of Focus and Focus Forte is beneficial:
- during periods of increased visual stresses;
- for reduction of risk of visual age-related changes;
- in cases of dystrophic changes in retina;
- in cases of night blindness;
- in cases of myopia of different degrees;
- when working with a computer.
Bilberry extract and carotenoid quality
Preparations of Focus series contain high-quality (standardized) bilberry extract. The content of anthocyanins in this preparations is 25%. This concentration is almost 50 times greater than the amount of anthocyanins found in dried blueberries. Currently 25% is the maximum concentration of anthocyanins possible in extracts.
Extracts, which are found in Focus preparations are manufactured in Germany. Scandinavian blueberries are used in their production, because the highest content of anthocyanins is found in berries from the northern latitudes.
Lutein, zeaxanthin and other carotenoids that are part of Focus and Focus Forte, are supplied by Swiss company DSM – the world's leading pharmaceutical company.
